GEOHYD Lunch Seminar: Spot-on and other projects on land-air interactions at GeoHyd

AVLYST Welcome to our GEOHYD Lunch Seminar Friday 25th of March @ 12:15 in Aud. 2, Geology building or via videolink using Zoom. The seminar is helt by Norbert Pirk, Dept of Geosciences.

Seminar by Norbert Pirk, Researcher, Dept of Geosciences.

Spot-on and other projects on land-air interactions at GeoHyd

Abstract: At Geohyd, we have a range of projects and initiatives that aim to improve the representation of land-atmosphere interactions in Earth System Models. Projects and initiatives like Spot-on, EMERALD and the dScience Machine Learning program, work together with infrastructures like the Drone Lab and the LATICE flux towers to study surface energy and gas exchange in arctic and alpine regions. This talk will first try to give an overview of these activities, and then provide an example of a study developing a drone data assimilation framework to infer surface energy fluxes at different flux stations.

It is possible to attend physically or to participate digitally at the seminar

Videolink to the lecture will be sent to the mailinglists alle@geo and geohyd-info@geo. If you want to subscribe to the geohyd-info@geo list send an email to Anita
