Academic interests
I am a climate scientist studying clouds, aerosols, and climate sensitivity. Broadly speaking, my research investigates how clouds respond to anthropogenic aerosols and global warming. My interests include aerosol-cloud interactions, cloud-climate feedbacks, aerosol radiative forcing, tropical convection, extratropical mixed-phase clouds, ocean-atmosphere interactions, satellite remote sensing, formal methods of radiative feedback analysis, and idealized climate modeling. I am currently investigating how anthropogenic sulfate aerosols affect marine boundary layer clouds.
