Hydro JULES Summer School 2020

The UK Hydro-JULES programme will host up to 15 students for a 5-day Summer School in 2020. The intention is to train undergraduate, post-graduate, early-career and other international junior scientists from the fields of water and the environment, land surface science, water resources, ecology, hydrometeorology, biogeochemistry and other related research areas concerned with the delivery of next-generation land-surface and hydrological predictions.

Course dates: Monday 13th to Friday 17th July 2020

Applications will be accepted until 23:59 on 30th April 2020, after which they will be evaluated by a panel selected from the organisers of the Summer School. A maximum of 15 participants can be accepted to attend. It is anticipated that applicants will be notified of the outcome of the application by 15th May 2020.

  • Location: The Centre for Ecology & Hydrology in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, UK
  • Eligibitity: The course is open to all, including students (undergraduate, graduate or postdoctoral), professionals and researchers during a career break.
  • Accommodation: To be provided in the City of Oxford, UK 
  • Other costs: No course fees will be charged to any students receiving a place on the course (whether UK or international). Transport will be provided from Oxford to UKCEH every day, however please note that we do not cover any travel costs to get to or from Oxford/Wallingford in order to attend the course itself (whether incurred by UK or international students).
