After a long break, we continue our regular seminars at GEO. For this gathering, we will have two talks and follow-up discussions about snow modeling in cold envrionments.

  • Arnaud Jansen (Wageningen University and Research)
Response of snowmelt rate to climate change: case study in Hardangervidda, Norway

  • Malin Ahlbäck (University of Oslo)
Assessing the impact of sublimation for hydrologic modelling

Arnaud is currently visiting GEO for doing his MSc thesis with us. Arnaud will share some initial results from his research on snow data assimilation in Hardangervidda.

Malin is a doctoral researcher working for the SnowSub project, and will talk about the current status of her PhD in snow sublimation.

The seminar is open for all interested students and researchers.
