Sebastian Westermanns PhD work was carried out at the Alfred Wegener Institut (AWI) located in Potsdam, Germany. In addition to the prize he will receive €10000,- following the "Umweltpreis der Viktor und Sigrid Dulger-Stiftung" from University of Heidelberg.
The prize will be awarded 11. May 2012 in the old Aula of the University in Heidelberg.
