In the Juvvass area we drilled 6 boreholes between 10 m and 15 m depth. One borehole is in bedrock (borehole 5), all others in either block fields or ground moraine deposits. In addition there exists a 130 m borehole, drilled during the European PACE project, at 1890 m a.s.l. on Juvvasshøe. The area has been subject of extensive permafrost research since the late 80ies.
