The weather station is equipped and programmed by Alpug GmbH (Davos, Switzerland), and connected also to the 30 m long thermistor cable logging the ground temperature at 21 depths. The cable is delivered by Stump (Switzerland).
The meteorological variables measured are temperature, incoming and outgoing radiation, moisture, wind speed and direction and snow height. The data are logged and stored with a Campbell CR800 every one hour. Ground temperatures are logged and stored every six hours. All data can be downloaded via GSM modem from the office.
