Partners

Physical Geography, Department of Geosciences (UiO) has longstanding experience with process-based studies in periglacial and glacial environments, with field work in Norway, Svalbard, Iceland, Greenland, Scotland, Mongolia and Antarctica.

University College of Gjøvik (HiG) and Dr. Rune Ødegård has longstanding experience in mapping and modelling of arctic (Svalbard) and mountain permafrost (southern Norway). In CRYOLINK he will contribute the study of climate-permafrost relationship, with focus on the Dovre area.

The Norwegian Meteorological Institute (met.no) (Ketil Isaksen) and The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) (Thomas Skaugen) are responsible for the gridded temperature data and the distributed snow model. In CRYOLINK they will active contribute and organise data to the project and help with supervising of the PhD students.
