Event description

 

In the years 1965 and 1967 a flood from Summit Lake occured and released 251 Mio m3 of water with a peak discharge of 3`260 m3/s. Two roads washed out by these events.

Remarks

 

A dyke was built to protect the road that winds up along the Salmon river, but it was damaged by a flood in the early 1990s and has not been rebuilt.
