Norwegian Carbon Capture and Storage Research Centre

NCCS is one of the Centres for Environment-friendly Energy Research (FME) funded by the Research Council of Norway (NFR). It is a world-class national and international CCS research centre organised as a partnership between industry and academia that have united to address one of the greatest challenges of our time: climate change.
 
 
  • The centre aims to contribute to building capacity to capture, transport and store billions of tonnes of CO2 by fast-tracking CCS deployment in Norway and beyond.
  • The centre has a holistic, multidisciplinary approach that involves technical, strategic and legal aspects of CCS to make large-scale deployment happen in time to meet climate targets in Norway and the EU.
