Lava stratigraphy in the Oslo Rift

This is part of a larger project about the volcanic rocks near Oslo. The main aim of the thesis is to understand rhomb porphyry volcanism based on core studies from Krokskogen. Unique cores and outcrops are available, showing details from lava-sediment interactions. The volcanology of these lavas has never been investigated in detail, and the work will include high-resolution logging, petrology, volcanology, and geochemistry/isotope work.
