Myr og permafrost lagrer enorme mengder karbon. Men inngrep og varmere klima gjør at drivhusgasser slipper ut. Ingen vet hvor mye. Det gjør klimamodellene usikre.

Norbert Pirk and Frans-Jan Parmentier, who are CBA researchers, contributed with data from Norway in a research study led by researchers at the University of Zurich.

In 12-22 September 2022 there will be held a 5 credits UArctic summer school about; Environmental monitoring in the Arctic. It is a PhD course but motivated MSc students can also apply. The course is given by University of Aarhus, with field work and most of the teaching at University of Oulu (Uleåborg), Finland.
