Title: Abstract Density Functional Theory
Abstract: A recent collaboration between the Hylleraas Centre and the Max Planck Institute for the Structure and Dynamics of Matter in Hamburg aims at a rigorous mathematical formulation of different forms of density functional theory and the related Kohn-Sham algorithm from quantum chemistry. This talk will present the general framework and further explain how the important question of convergence of the Kohn-Sham method can be tackled.
