Title: Two-dimensional materials
Abstract: Two-dimensional (2D) materials have attracted a lot of attention from scientists due to their remarkable properties since the first isolation of graphene in 2004. In the talk, I will discuss some of the properties of 2D materials as well as their application and introduce quantum spin Hall effects and the concept of topology in material science. I will show the state of our research (in progress) in this field.
Due to the present situation with the COVID-19 virus, seminars will be shared between Oslo and Tromsø by using the Zoom virtual meeting system.
