In the article, UiO Rector Svein Stølen states that the quality of Norwegian research has increased through the Centre of Excellence (SFF) programme. The Centre for Theoretical and Computational Chemistry (CTCC, the precursor to the Hylleraas Centre) is highlighted as a particularly successful centre, with more than 13000 citations to 800 publications and with nine young researchers from the centre now in permanent research positions at international universities.
