CLIMB
CLIMB will focus on the exploration of structural properties and of membrane driven interactions, that are key to the development of complex lipid-based nanostructures that mimic the cellular environment and function as high-performance sustainable materials.
CLIMB will devote to the development and characterization of novel lipid mixtures including natural extracts and novel protective polymer-based coatings.
The UiO node of CLIMB
Coordinated by Prof. Reidar Lund, together with Prof. Michele Cascella.
They will provide, expertise for:
- time resolved small angle X-ray/neutron scattering techniques for the investigation of kinetic processes and interactions in lipid vesicles,
- computational multi-scale modelling and simulations of self-assembly dynamics, integrating all-atom and coarse-grained resolutions with data driven enhanced sampling approaches.
During the CLIMB activities, the UiO node be primarily responsible for one PhD student, host students for secondments, and help organize training activities.
