Risk Assessment of Master Project

Every master student is entitled to a safe learning environment. This requires an introduction to IBV's health and safety work, both from supervisor and other H&S resources.

Internal Master students

Students have to upload the risk assessment of their master project when completing the self declaration form.
This means that the students need to meet with their supervisor and discuss this prior to completing the form and getting access to IBV labs. Relevant topics for the meeting are: risk factors during lab and field work and a list of relevant SOP's for the master project.

External Master students

A contract of collaboration should be written for all external master students.

We assume that the host laboratory will give the necessary health and safety training, therefore external students will not get many questions when completing the self declaration.

Risk Assessing Lab work

All work including chemicals must be risk assessed using the SOP templates.
