The Earth BioGenome Project Norway (EBP-Nor) will hold its annual conference from April 11 to 12, 2024. The conference is open to all, and we encourage anyone interested in genomics and biodiversity research to save the date and participate.
Workshop
The three days (8 to 10 April) before the conference, participants will have the opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills through engaging workshops led by our EBP-Nor members. These days will focus on genome assembly, validation and curation, genome annotation, and comparative genomics.
Conference
The conference itself will focus on scientific discussion and innovation. We have invited three keynote speakers to share their research with us: Aiofe McLysaght (Trinity College Dublin), Alexander Suh (Leibniz Institute for the Analyses of Biodiversity Change), and Olga Vinnere Petterson (Uppsala University). In addition, EBP-Nor project partners will present their ongoing work in collecting, sequencing, and analyzing genetic resources, providing a comprehensive overview of the project's achievements and the significant impact it has had on our understanding of Earth's biodiversity.
Deadlines
- The final deadline for registration is Wednesday, March 27th
- The final deadline for abstracts is Monday, March 18th
Abstract
All conference participants who wish to share their work on biodiversity and/or genomics can submit an abstract. The abstract will be reviewed by a committee, and those who are selected will have the opportunity to present their work at the conference with a 10-minute presentation.
Registration and program
A detailed program, abstract and more information regarding the conference can be found on the EBP-Nor conference website.
