Cecilie Mathiesen is a manager at the department's section for genetics and evolutionary biology, EVOGENE. She has distinguished herself by her contribution to practical and psychosocial HSE work at the Department of Biosciences.

- It is very nice to receive the HSE award. It's nice that all the small and big things you do are noticed and that people actually see that it leads to a better working environment for employees and students at the department, says Cecilie Mathiesen.

Cecilie's contribution ranges from laboratory safety to ergonomics and office furnishings, and to being a driving force in the section's work for HSE and working environment culture. In addition, for a number of years she has excelled in the department's HSE work, and has previously been awarded HSE prize for her work at the Department of Biosciences. The nomination speaks of a highly committed manager and employee.
