I am a new PhD student in the EVOGENE department working on the MISFAITH project, which aims to investigate non-antibiotic therapies for multispecies biofilms in dentistry and medical implants in general. My research will focus on the development of multispecies biofilm models in a dynamic/flowing environment under anaerobic and aerobic conditions. These models will be used to examine implant surface modifications and implant cleaning methods for their ability to prevent biofilm growth.
