Master student Emelie Skogsberg travelled north to Tromsø to present her work at the Arctic Frontiers conference.

Arctic Frontiers is a five day conference that brings together policy makers, and researchers from various backgrounds including science. There, Emelie presented the results from her recent work in Svalbard, where she has been looking at the combined effect of seasonality and terrestrial input on pollutant accumulation in Arctic amphipods.

Emelie also was also a participant of the Young Ambassador program, which brings together students from various international and academic backgrounds. This is a venue for young students to discuss social and scientific issues related to the Arctic. Emelie also wrote a short blog piece on oil awareness in the Arctic, one of the scientific sessions she attended during the conference.
