NSFT winter meeting 2019

Our Master students present their research at the NSFT winter meeting in Beitostølen.

Two weeks ago, Clare, Helene, Laura, Malin and Nina presented a summary of their research at the NSFT winter meeting at Beitostølen.

The NSFT winter meeting is a three day conference which includes topics on toxicology and pharmacology. Group members from our research group presented their work on pollution in Antarctic birds, Oslofjord birds, killer whales in northern Norway and pesticide accumulation in bumblebees!

All our group members gave oral presentations of their work, which was the first time for many. An added challenge was that they only had eight minutes to summarise their research! Nonetheless, everyone did an outstanding job and everyone in the research group is proud.

Between the talks, the students spent quality time together through various team building exercises including cross country skiing and trivia and a little thesis writing at their cabin. Important to combine science and knowledge with a little fun and relaxation!
