NSFT's wintermeeting is an annual arrangement assembling scientists of all ages and levels of experiences within toxicology and pharmacology. The conference consist of a healthy mix of new research on current issues, popular science discussions, and social arrangements such as skiing and fancy evening dinners.
Participants are expected to present their work through poster or oral presentations. As a "carrot" and to inspire healthy competition, a jury judges and hands out prizes to the best posters and presentations of different categories. For the NSFT wintermeeting separate prizes are given for the two main subjects of the conference, namely toxicology and pharmacology. Participants are judged by their ability to disseminate their work both graphically and orally, and the winners are announced and handed their prizes at an evening banquet.
We can proudly announce that no less than two of our masterstudents went off and WON the prizes of their respective categories! Alexandra won the prize for best poster presentation for her work with dental material silika nanoparticles and potential for neurotoxicity. Another (former) masterstudent of our group, Vegard Sæter Grytting, won for best oral presentation.
We happily congratulate both! :)
