Congratulation to Ingvild who defended her PhD-thesis today!
The ROX team attended the 54rd Norwegian Biochemical Society (NBS) Contact Meeting at Hafjell 18th-21st January. Ingvild and Inger gave each a talk, and Ingvild and Hans-Petter was in the organising commitee.
The PX-internat was this year held at Kobberhaughytta 19th-20th June 2017, which we organised this year.
Hans-Petter gave a talk at the International Flavin Symposium in Groningen and attended the Enzyme, Coenzyme and Metabolic Pathways Gordon Conference in New Hampshire
Ingvild attended the 50th International School of Crystallography in Erice 2nd - 11th June 2017.
The group started the year with a one-day retreat to Berlin, with lunch in the TV-tower, and visit to the Berlin-wall.
Ingvild, Marta and Hans-Petter attended the 14th Nordic Workshop on Scattering of Soft and Biological Matter in Oslo 12th-13th January 2016

Congratulation to Marie who defended her PhD-thesis today!
The ROX team and the metalloproteingroup visited Ytterby outside Stockholm, the mine that four elements are named after: Yttrium, Ytterbium, Erbium and Terbium in connection with Hans-Petter´s birthday.
Ingvild Gudim left for a 4.5 month research stay in the lab of Kara Bren at University of Rochester, New York.
Hans-Petter and Ingvild visited a new collaborator: Jeff Gralnick at University of Minnesota in St.Paul, and Hans-Petter gave a talk at the BioTechnology Institute "Probing enzyme activation networks - structural and functional studies of flavoproteins in Bacillus cereus"
Hans-Petter visited thereafter Ingvild in Rochester, where she is for a 4-5 months stay in the lab of Kara L. Bren at University of Rochester.
Our new collaboration with the group of Jeff Gralnick at the University of Minnesota on "Structural characterization of the Shewanella oneidensis 5’nucleotidase UshA" was awarded a grant from the Norwegian Centennial Chair, see: http://www.uio.no/english/about/global/countries/usa/uio-nocc-awardees.html
Hans-Petter attended an active learning and scientific teaching course in Minneapolis 5th-11th June 2016
Marie and Ingvild just published a Rapid report in Biochemistry as shared authors:
Ingvild and Hans-Petter attended the 13th European Biological Inorganic Chemistry Conference 28th Aug - 1st Sep 2016 in Budapest, Hungary together with Marta, Marie, Hedda, Inger and Kristoffer from the metalloprotein group.
Marita Shoor has started as a new master student in the group, and is going to work on the project "Structural and functional characterisation of redox proteins in an enzyme activating network involving the thioredoxin reductase in Bacillus cereus."
Ingvild Gudim, Marie Lofstad and Hans-Petter Hersleth attended the 19th Annual Conference of Swedish Structural Biology Network Meeting, 12th-15th June 2015 in Tällberg, Sweden.
Susanne Monka had her master exam on 19th of June, and Bernt Wu had his master exam on 20th of August 2015
Ingvild Gudim and Hans-Petter Hersleth attended the 29th European crystallographic meeting 22nd-28th August 2015 in Rovinj, Croatia.
Ingvild Gudim was invited as a speaker to the 17th International MST Meeting 12th-13th November 2015 in Munich.
Hans-Petter Hersleth was awarded "The golden laserpointer" as best lecturer in molecular biosciences for 2015.
