2016
Ingvild and Hans-Petter attended the 13th European Biological Inorganic Chemistry Conference 28th Aug - 1st Sep 2016 in Budapest, Hungary together with Marta, Marie, Hedda, Inger and Kristoffer from the metalloprotein group.
Hans-Petter attended an active learning and scientific teaching course in Minneapolis 5th-11th June 2016
Marie and Ingvild just published a Rapid report in Biochemistry as shared authors:
Our new collaboration with the group of Jeff Gralnick at the University of Minnesota on "Structural characterization of the Shewanella oneidensis 5’nucleotidase UshA" was awarded a grant from the Norwegian Centennial Chair, see: http://www.uio.no/english/about/global/countries/usa/uio-nocc-awardees.html
Marita Shoor has started as a new master student in the group, and is going to work on the project "Structural and functional characterisation of redox proteins in an enzyme activating network involving the thioredoxin reductase in Bacillus cereus."
Ingvild Gudim left for a 4.5 month research stay in the lab of Kara Bren at University of Rochester, New York.
Hans-Petter and Ingvild visited a new collaborator: Jeff Gralnick at University of Minnesota in St.Paul, and Hans-Petter gave a talk at the BioTechnology Institute "Probing enzyme activation networks - structural and functional studies of flavoproteins in Bacillus cereus"
Hans-Petter visited thereafter Ingvild in Rochester, where she is for a 4-5 months stay in the lab of Kara L. Bren at University of Rochester.
