Student teams from all over the world

The International genetically engineered machine (iGEM: igem.org) is a student competition in the field of biotechnology/synthetic biology. Student teams from all over the world, once per year, compete with projects that use synthetic biology to build solutions to local and global challenges in the society.

University of Oslo’ multidisciplinary iGEM-tea

Participate the University of Oslo’ multidisciplinary iGEM-team and contribute to the design and execution of the project in synthetic biology. The work is depended on you as a member of the team and requires project planning, teamwork, oral and written presentation skills including making a wiki, and the team interact with relevant stakeholders or the general public to make the project better. The main task is to participate in the international iGEM competition.

The course BIOS4910IGEM

Participation of iGEM teams at UiO has been organized continuously since 2014, in the form of a 10-credit point course at the master level, read about the course content and learning outcome in the course BIOS4910IGEM.

After a first information meeting, you can register using at the BIOS4910IGEM course in Student Web. Details about the registration process and about the course structure will be given at the information meeting.
