Verdens Kuleste Dag

It's official. Yesterday was the World's Coolest Day in Oslo. The DNB Savings Bank Foundation hosted a free day of activities at the Akershus fortress. I volunteered with a group of spunky students from IBV at the mobile touch tanks from Drøbak Akvarium. Check out the marine stars of Oslofjord!

The Drøbak Akvarium is located 50 kilometers south of Oslo. However, this weekend some of the fish, sea stars and crabs took a trip North to celebrate Verdens kuleste dag in Oslo. Thousands of visitors came by to see the animals that usually live out of sight beyond the shore.

Master student, Torbjørn, shows visitors the animals in the touch tank.

This day would not have been possible without volunteers and the generosity of the DNB Savings Bank Foundation and photographers, such as Christian Skauge.
