Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

The Department of Informatics should be an inclusive, enjoyable, and safe community. Our learning and working environment should reflect the diversity of society, and we should interact with each other with openness and mutual respect.

We, who study and work at the institute, should reflect the diversity in the rest of society to the greatest extent possible. From freshment bachelor students to graduated master students, from newly hired PhD candidates to professors and emeriti. Diversity and openness are prerequisites for exploiting the full potential of digitization.

The department systematically works to build and change the culture, including gender equality of all genders, ethnic, religious, and social minorities, as well as people with disabilities. Statistics over several years have, among other things, contributed to improved gender balance among new students. There is zero tolerance for discrimination at the Department of Informatics.

Committee for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
