At the start of this year I started as an associate professor at the Nanoelectronics Group.  My main research interests are the integration of radio-frequency or microwave sensor systems and their applications.  In particular microwave sensor systems for biomedical applications as ‘through the skin’ biomarker measurement and remote breathing or heartrate measurements.  In 2005, I started as a student of microelectronics at UiO, first as a master student, then as a doctoral fellow.  During these years, I was involved in several integrated circuit design projects and got experience with radio-frequency integrated circuit design.  After my PhD, I started as a senior researcher on a project where the focused is toward biomedical applications of microwave sensors.  I find it very interesting to explore new sensor systems exploiting modern integrated circuit technology—especially so, when solving challenging sensing problems in biomedical applications.  I look forward to continuing my career as an associate professor at the Nanoelectronics Group expanding my research with new projects, supervising students, and teaching microelectronics courses.
