DSB Seminar: Multiscale and multimodal time-harmonic elastography

Due to the periodic nature of harmonic shear waves, time-harmonic elastography (THE) is the only technique, which can be combined with MR and US imaging modalities. Both modalities use low frequency vibration to calculate full field of view elastograms of the in vivo body. The main purpose of this presentation is to give an overview about the setup, post-processing and current findings of THE. Additional, one of the latest developments, which investigates small ex vivo tissue samples by using high frequency excitation will be presented. This multiscale elastography combined with the spring pot model allows to transfer findings between micro and macro.
