Happy new year!
Leadership is a valuable skill both within and beyond academia. In this seminar, we will find motivation, skills, and practical ideas and strategies to help us know our strengths and weaknesses and improve continuously as a leader at different levels.
This event would be about our speakers' leadership journey and their valuable experience in all the academic leadership positions, from student supervision and project responsibilities to the group and department leadership. You can find the answers to questions such as:
- What kind of characteristics are necessary to have in leadership positions?
- How can someone be a leader at any level in academia?
- How do you motivate the others to cooperate?
- How do you solve the conflicts?
- How do you communicate effectively as a leader?

Ingrid and Olaf will kindly share their leadership experiences and skills. We will continue the session by having the opportunity to ask general or even more specific questions and have a general discussion.
* Based on the number of participants and the pandemic situation, we might arrange a small meal together.
* We will have the opportunity to thank Olaf Owe for his great effort affecting lots of the student's and researchers' careers, including female researchers.
