LAP User-Level Documentation

The Language Analysis Portal (LAP) has been available through a public production instance since late in 2017.

User Documentation remains limited for the time being, but a walk-through first session may be a good starting point for new users.  Furthermore, there is a brief overview of the LAP user interface and some instructions for how to gain access to pre-configured processing workflows.

For accountability of resource usage on the Norwegian national e-infrastructure, LAP access requires authentication through one of the available identity management federations (currently the Norwegian national Feide and the European eduGAIN services; we are working to add more).

Within the Feide federation, most institutions only subscribe to selected services by default; thus, it is possible that you may need to request that your local administrators subscribe your institution for LAP access (at no additional cost to existing Feide participants).  Authentication via the eduGAIN inter-federation has not been exercised much so far, and we have success reports from some countries (e.g. Croatia) and problem reports from others (e.g. the Czech Republic and The Netherlands).

Once logged into the LAP user interface, there are additional instructions for users and information about how to contact LAP developers for support requests or bug reports.
