Title: What is the potential for AI to support the DHIS2 and its community to meet local and global service related needs, and what are the threats?
Main research findings
This thesis is a study of standardisation within the global health field, investigating the potential role of digital platforms in facilitating such standardisation. It describes and analyses an effort of the World Health Organisation (WHO) to disseminate its standards and guidelines on health information to countries by packaging them for a widely used digital platform.
Theoretically, a potentially fruitful connection is made between digital platforms and standardisation, and the thesis discusses how different digital platform characteristics can serve to support standardisation in global health. Concrete advice are offered for practitioners on how digital platforms can be leveraged in support of standardisation within global health.
