My research operates on the intersection between Information Systems, Computer Supported Cooperative Work and Health Informatics with a general focus on digitalization of healthcare.
In my research I have engaged in a wide array of topics including collaborative work, sensemaking, design of patient-centred digital technologies, innovation of information infrastructures, platform ecosystems, and artificial intelligence. In my current work I am increasingly engaging with digitization of healthcare in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) and development of education and related knowledge resources within the field of digital health. Methodically, my research combines ethnographic field studies, Participatory Design, and Action Research.
I am affiliated to the HISP Centre, University of Oslo, and serve as member of the board in the Danish Society for Digital Health (2020-).
