Data sharing presents extensive opportunities and challenges in domains such as the public sector, health care and financial services. The concept of “trusted data marketplaces” has emerged as a mechanism for enabling trusted sharing of data. This MSc thesis will investigate the building blocks of trusted data marketplaces, including multi-party computation, blockchains / smart contracts, and homomorphic encryption, and propose a reference implementation for trusted data marketplaces.
