User-friendly Data and Domain Exploration

Public and private entities in EU publish more and more data in an open manner for the sake of transparency; however, it is often very difficult for typical citizens to explore these data sets and grasp the underlying domain organization. In this thesis, you will explore approaches for typical citizens to explore open data published and grasp underlying domain knowledge without needing any extensive technical skills and knowledge. Potential approaches among others could include visual interfaces to data and domain, visual query tools, and natural language interfaces.
