Project Description
Pub-sub is a paradigm for asynchronous communication, in which publishers publish events and subscribers
specify their interests and later receive the events that match their subscriptions.
Pub-sub is commonly used in a great variety of industrial applications, such as news tickers, delivery of financial data,
online games, and many others.
Yet, pub-sub overlays are not as thoroughly studied as those used for P2P file sharing applications or
application-level multicast. Do you want to build an analog of BitTorrent or eMule for pub-sub applications?
Do you want to lay the foundations for generations of pub-sub overlays to come? Then this project is for you.
The subject is important and broad enough to accommodate two of three different master projects.
