Dr. Atia Azad completed her PhD in Chemistry at the University of St Andrews in November 2023. Under the supervision of Professor John Irvine, her research focused on the development of lithium silicon alloys as anode materials for batteries, contributing to advancements in the field of silicon anodes.
She earned her Masters in Chemical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen in 2019. During her undergraduate studies, she conducted research on the enhanced ionic conductivity of new liquid crystal polymers, specifically targeting their application in direct methanol fuel cells.
