In this paper, we investigate a single-item remanufacturing inventory system with stochastic decomposition process and derive its closed-form cost function. The closed form cost function has some advantages over numerical methods which are available in the literature; especially it is valuable for optimization modeling of the inventory policy problem to find cost minimizing system parameters. In this system, when the part storage is full, the newly arrived recovered parts will be stored in an extra storage and sold at the end of the planning horizon at a salvage value price. For this system, based on the continuous control policy, a (β,γ) inventory policy is developed.

In this paper, a multipath routing scheme is proposed
for data transmission in a packet-switched network to
improve the reliability of data delivery to multicast destinations, and to reduce network congestion. A multi-objective optimization model is presented that utilizes FEC (Forward Error Correction) across multiple multicast trees for transmitting packets toward the destinations. This model assigns the transmission rates over multicast trees so that the probability of irrecoverable loss for each destination and also the link congestion are minimized.
We propose a genetic algorithm based on SPEA (Strength
Pareto Evolutionary Algorithm) in order to approximate Pareto
optimal solutions of this rate allocation problem with a nondominated solution set. Numerical results show that splitting data packets between multiple trees increases reliability and decreases network congestion when compared with the results obtained for transmitting data packets over a single tree.

Dynamicity of topology and lack of infrastructure in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) induce high control overhead for routing protocols and increase end-to-end delay as a result of complexity in mobility management. In this paper, the so-called WCA (Weighted Clustering Algorithm) is developed and a novel mobility measurement metric is introduced based on prediction of spatial auto-correlation between traversed paths of mobile users for clusterhead selection. Collaborative mobility behavior of nodes is represented by spatial auto-correlation index in order to find more stable clusters when the nodes are highly mobile and follow a dependent mobility model. We compare results of the proposed model with WCA and EWCA (Entropy-based WCA) in terms of reaffiliation frequency (rate of changes in cluster membership) to measure stability of clustered structure for different mobility scenarios. Simulation results show that our proposed algorithm improves performance of clustered structure for MANETs.

Show summary
This paper studies the impact of different charging methods on profitability of Video on Demand over IPTV for internet service providers using simulation analysis. In previous works, impact of underlying network topology, technology and number of subscribers were studied. In this paper, the influence of some new factors such as advertisement and customer charging method is investigated on economics of Video on Demand services.
