- Tobias co-organised and moderated UiO's data science day. The presentation and discussion by spoor on how to use AI to detect birds for wind farm operation was a particular interest.
- Tobias and Marianne participate in the final seminar of WP4 – the fourth work package of the Nordic Energy Outlooks Programme (NEOs) – was hosted at the Danish Energy Agency in Copenhagen. In connection with the final seminar, the final report of WP4 was also published – Fossil free and resource efficient transport.

- 8 of us travelled to Vienna to give presentations at EGU, most of us in the session on Spatial and temporal modelling of renewable energy systems followed by visits to IIASA and TU Berlin.
- Marianne was invited to talk about overcoming the disconnect between energy system and climate modelling at the NTNU Energy Transition Week workshop on "Climate Change and Energy Security: Modelling extreme climate and geopolitical events"
- In March 2023 our group went on a research retreat to Finse combining skiing with model improvements a as well as joint research on Norway's energy system in 2030.

In January Marianne participated in the kick-off event of the new Horizon Europe Project WIMBY in Brussels.

We are happy to welcome Paola Velasco Herrejón starting her Marie Curie Postdoctral Felloship project WINDACCEPT. Paola holds a doctorate in Development Studies (community acceptance of wind energy) from the University of Cambridge. Before joining the Department of Technology Systems, she worked as a teaching assistant at Cambridge Judge Business School and as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Environmental Research Institute of the University College Cork.
2022
- Josef Noll and Marianne Zeyringer participated in the UNU Climate Academy 2022 – Digitalization, Energy Transition and Climate Action in Kigali, Rwanda.
- In July 2022 Guillermo Valenzuela, Isabelle Viole and Marianne Zeyringer travelled to Chile to run workshops and interviews with local stakeholders from the community, telescopes, energy providers and adminstration.
