Hydrogen production from offshore wind

The generation of electricity is the biggest source of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide, so the successful transition to renewable electricity generation by utilizing hybrid energy storage systems is perhaps the most important step to mitigate climate change in the coming years.

About the project

The main objective of this project is to model the energy management of hybrid energy storage systems for a real floating offshore wind turbine. Collaboration with national and international research institutes and industry will be an integral part of the project.

Financing

The project is funded by the Research Council of Norway (Project number 295605), UNITECH and NORCE.

Cooperation

University of Oslo, UNITECH OFFSHORE AS, NORCE
