The use of robotics is increasing world wide. The automotive industry is focusing a large portion of their research into self-driving cars. Additionally other sectors are starting to use unmanned systems, for instance in logistics, agriculture and defence. All these examples 
are complex tasks and needs further research, and young researcher are in needed for the industries to grow. The Eurobot competition is one effort to promote robotics. The competition is held yearly, where university student teams compete in creating and programming a robot to do certain tasks. The task change every year, to ensure a fair competition between new and more experienced teams.
This master thesis involves creating a robot for the Eurobot competition, and finding new and novel methods to solve the tasks in the competition. This will need a group of students, and will be a slightly different thesis than a traditional university thesis. It will require a lot of work on both hardware, software and mathematics, but will be very rewarding for the involved students. The highlight of the work will be competing in the competition, and viewing all the effort in the thesis there.
