What is it all about?
The event is an informal meeting place for students to know more about work opportunities. The purpose of the event is to give you as a student an insight into some of the many job opportunities that exist with a degree from the Department of Chemistry.
We meet in the afternoon after a day with studies. The event starts with short lectures and ends with networking and wraps.
Program for Marc 12th
We are visited by two people from the Institute of Chemistry and all at work. They talk about their journey until completing their degree at UiO and about the job they have today.

Program and presenters
Frøydis Sved Skottvoll
Frøydis has a Ph.D. in organic analytical chemistry, working with miniaturized LC-MS and online organoid analys.
- About her work as a scientist at SINTEF.
Frøydis is working on developing micro-nanotechnology (sensors and microsystems) for various applications within health and life sciences. She is the project manager for several projects, including research projects with universities, as well as market-oriented projects with companies and market development of our own ideas (we have a high percentage of startups spinning out of SINTEF).
Frøydis utilize a wide range of subjects from the chemical institute; examples include organic chemistry in the development of biosensors (functionalization of gold), inorganic chemistry related to the production of sensors/microsystems, and analytical chemistry to understand which sensors can be suited for the various applications.
Ina Eikjeland
Occupation: Lead Manufacturing scientist (master's degree MENA).
Employer: GE healthcare, PET Supply Chain.
