Organisational development

At the Department of Chemistry, we continually work to develop the department as a whole and to develop the individual employees. On these pages you can find more about how we work, what we have done up to now and the results we have achieved.

A wish to become better is the foundation for organisational development at the Department of Chemistry.

The working environment survey in 2006 indicated that the department has a potential for improvement in the areas of management, communication and cooperation.

Through continual organisational development we are coming to grips with these areas for improvement. Organisational development involves all employees through general meetings, group work and seminars. In 2008 we agreed on the culture and values/attitudes we wish to promote, and we set down the guiding rules for the department. In 2009 and 2010 we developed the department's strategic plan (general) as well as a separate strategic, ethics plan for 2010-2016.

The goals we have set for ourselves, along with our vision, indicate the level of ambition the department has and at the same time help us to maintain focus on the desired outcomes.
