Spectrophotometer

For determining the wavelength dependency of the lighttransmitted/absorbed by a sample, and for determining the turbidity changes insamples not suited for use in our turbidity meter, weare using aThermoSpectronic Helios Gamma spectrophotometer with temperature control (0-100°C). It is a single beam UV-Vis spectrophotometer with a wavelength range190 -1100 nm and a fixed 2 nm bandwidth. The instrument can be computercontrolled, and we are using a home-written program to detect the changes inthe transmitted light as a function of temperature/time.
