Alexey, Dipankar and Anders were at BM01 at ESRF from 17th to 23rd of June to do operando XRD measurements on different battery materials.

Alexey Koposov is one of the partners in "C4Bat - Battery-Grade Carbon for Sodium-ion Batteries" managed by IFE.

His thesis “Bismuth Chalcogenides as conversion/alloying anode materials in Na-ion batteries” was  successfully presented and defended Thursday the 24th of June.

Today is Helmer's actual birthday and he is officially 70 years young!

Amalie, Erlend, Tian and David are currently in Grenoble for the The international Operando Battery Days, 12th-14th June 2024.

His thesis “The Effect of Cobalt Precursors on Cobaltate Thin Films A Study on Atomic Layer Deposition of Lanthanum Cobalt Oxide Thin Films” was successfully presented and defended the 13th of June.

Coworkers, friends and family gathered in the Chemistry Canteen 12th of June to mark a special jubilee for a man who started his career at UiO all the way back to 1974.

His thesis “Atomic layer deposition of barium stannate Surveying new ALD systems for next-generation complex oxide electronics” was  successfully presented and defended Thursday the 6th of June.

Doctoral candidate Anders Brennhagen at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, defended his thesis "Bi metallates as conversion-alloying anodes for Na-ion batteries" for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor April 5th.

Doctoral candidate Martin Myhre Jensen at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, defended his thesis "Synthesis, Characterization, and In situ / Operando Studies of Pt-Rh Model Catalysts for the NH₃ Oxidation Reaction" for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor 1st of March.

Doctoral candidate Bruno Guilherme Fischer Eggert at the department of chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, defended his thesis “Composition tuning microstructure and magnetic properties of High Entropy Alloys and MnNiSi-based compounds” for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor 27th of February 2024.

Since starting at NAFUMA as a summer student in 2009, Henrik has worked in most positions at UiO. As of 1st of January 2024, he embarks on the role as Associate Professor.

Doctoral candidate Frida Sveen Hempel at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, defended her thesis “Substituted Na-based Layered Tellurates: Synthesis, Local Structure and Na-Dynamics” for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor 1st of December.

Doctoral candidate Melania Rogowska at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, defended her thesis "Antimicrobial surfaces through photoactivation" for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor 24th of November.
