Still activity in ZeoMorph!

Even though the project period is formally over and all the reporting is completed, there are still some activities in the ZeoMorph project.

First, and foremost, Kasia will defend her thesis entitled: "Controlling the morphology of zeolite crystals in OFF and MTT/TON systems" on Friday November 2nd at the Department of Chemistry, Oslo. The adjudicating committee comprises:

  • Dr.  Isabel Díaz Carretero, Instituto de Catálisis y Petroleoquímica, CSIC, Spain
  • Research Director Benoit Louis, Institute of Chemistry and Processes for Energy, University of Strasbourg, France
  • Professor Truls Norby, Department of Chemistry, University of Oslo, Norway

Second, another ZeoMorph publication has appeared: "Topology-dependent hydrocarbon transformations in the methanol to hydrocarbons reaction studied by operando UV-Raman spectroscopy" Matteo Signorile, Daniel Rojo-Gama, Francesca Bonino, Pablo Beato, Stian Svelle, Silvia Bordiga, Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys. (2018) DOI:10.1039/C8CP04240C.

This is an important paper for us, as it demonstrates the use of UV-Raman for operando studies of zeolite deactivation, which experimentally is very, very challenging!

Probing hydrocarbons transformation in MTH by operando UV-Raman spectroscopy.

Third, Stian has presented ZeoMorph results at the Nordic Symposium on Catalysis.
