First, and foremost, Kasia will defend her thesis entitled: "Controlling the morphology of zeolite crystals in OFF and MTT/TON systems" on Friday November 2nd at the Department of Chemistry, Oslo. The adjudicating committee comprises:
- Dr. Isabel Díaz Carretero, Instituto de Catálisis y Petroleoquímica, CSIC, Spain
- Research Director Benoit Louis, Institute of Chemistry and Processes for Energy, University of Strasbourg, France
- Professor Truls Norby, Department of Chemistry, University of Oslo, Norway
Second, another ZeoMorph publication has appeared: "Topology-dependent hydrocarbon transformations in the methanol to hydrocarbons reaction studied by operando UV-Raman spectroscopy" Matteo Signorile, Daniel Rojo-Gama, Francesca Bonino, Pablo Beato, Stian Svelle, Silvia Bordiga, Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys. (2018) DOI:10.1039/C8CP04240C.
This is an important paper for us, as it demonstrates the use of UV-Raman for operando studies of zeolite deactivation, which experimentally is very, very challenging!
