As a consequence of the reorganization of the IT services at UiO, we have to do things a little differently here at the department of Chemistry. Electronic inquiries will now be divided into 2 channels; basic IT and research IT.
Basic IT
Basic IT, "bread and butter" IT, General inquiries about IT should be directed to:
Examples of the type of things that should go here: Username and Password, Printers, Vortex/Online Publishing, Cloud Services, Online Journals, VPN, "My PC has become so slow!", Operating System Updates, Microsoft 365 (Teams , Office, Onedrive o.a.), Vmware Horizon (view.uio.no), Web form, 2FA, E-mail and calendar, E-mail lists (Sympa), Administrative IT systems (for example ephorte), o.a.

Research IT
Everything that is chemistry-related is required
Examples: instrument connections, labnet, IT in teaching, special programs, VDIs, but also organizationally oriented IT matters (groups, access, storage) and guest access, etc. The list is not exhaustive.
