The Centre for Teaching and Learning in Science (KURT) at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences works for quality in science education throughout the entire educational journey from school to university.

In connection with InterAct, there was an increasing need for pedagogical competence development among employees at MN. Additionally, Report to the Storting No. 16 (2016–2017): Culture for Quality in Higher Education, required documented pedagogical competence and development for employment in academic positions and for promotion. KURT was established in 2017 and was given the responsibility to systematically work to improve the educational competence among employees at the faculty.
