Getting in
Oslo Gardermoen Airport (IATA: OSL) is the main airport for Oslo. From the airport you can take train or bus. For train, you can take either the Flytoget express train or local trains operated by Vy (Oslo Lufthavn - Oslo S). For bus, you want to take Flybussen. See also this entry in Wikitravel.
Getting around
Oslo has a good public transport operated by Ruter. Beware that there are few ticket machines. You either buy an electronic ticket on your smart phone through their mobile app, or get a physical ticket from a kiosk shop (https://ruter.no/en/buying-tickets/sales-outlets/). Other than traveling from and to the airport, Zone 1 should be enough to get around.
Location
The conference takes place at University of Oslo, Blindern campus. See the public transport guide and the campus map to find your way.
Lunch
We do not organize lunch for participants, but the university canteens are open during the period. The main canteen is Frederikke spiseri on the upper floor of Frederikke building, just across the main campus square from Vilhelm Bjerknes' hus. Other options can be found from this page.
Conference dinner
The conference dinner is on Wednesday, from 18:30 at Benares Indisk Restaurant (Tordenskiolds gate 8).
Currency
Norway has its own currency, Norwegian Krone. However, practically every business accepts credit cards, so usually you do not have to carry large amounts of cash, if any at all. ATMs are called minibank.
Accommodation
There are many hotels that can be booked either directly or via standard hotel aggregator sites such as booking.com and hotels.com. Scandic and Thon are two major hotel chains.
